Daryn Griggs

Daryn has been an innovator in the global payments industry since 1998 and was one of the creators of the Multi-currency prepaid travel card and the multi-currency debit card. 


Daryn’s first foray into payments was the development of a smart card delivering point of sale and loyalty solutions in the education sector. 


Moving to Singapore in 2003 Daryn developed and implemented a cashless smart card solution into Australian International School of Singapore and International School of Bangkok and liaised effectively with Network for Electronic Transfers Singapore (NETS).

From 2007 until 2009 Daryn worked as the CEO for International Business for Yalamanchilli International Pte Ltd, a payment processing company based in Chennai, India servicing the financial sector.


In this role Daryn was involved in implementing the world first multi-currency prepaid travel card by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia,


Daryn then was part of the M&A team that successfully negotiated a joint venture between Yalamanchilli and Visa Inc. called Visa Processing Service, and was then was seconded into the JV as the Head of Product & Global Head of Sales.


In this role Daryn oversaw the sales and implementation of multicurrency payment products inot Macquarie Bank in Australia, ANZ Bank Australia and New Zealand and Kiwi Bank in New Zealand.


Daryn was asked to lead the Visa prepaid product division which included establishing an Asia Pacific prepaid innovation unit.

Daryn was head hunted in 2012 by Rev Worldwide Inc to be the CEO and Managing Director of Rev Asia Pacific before moving into a global EVP of Product & Sales based in Austin Texas. 

As the CEO for the region Daryn was heading up the team deploying payments solutions for Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation in Australia.

In 2016 Daryn joined the hospitality industry as Head Of Commercial for Minor Hotel groups Australian and New Zealand operations.


During his time at Minor Daryn has overseen the deployment of the Sabre Synxis platform, selection and implementation of a new payment gateway and was also tasked with leading and creating the Guest Experience strategy for Minor Hotels Australasia, which includes evaluating and implementing a new CRM platform, loyalty program, staff benefits and rewards program.


Daryn’s extensive experience with payments combined with new insight into the hospitality industry and passion for customer experience enable him to provide invaluable thought leadership, guidance and solutions to any companies involved in the fintech and/or hospitality industries.
